Welcome to the OU Gaming Club!
You have now received some OU Mass Emails from us regarding the new year, opportunities, our venue, and our annual epic back-to-school weekend programming. Now that you’re here, welcome! As you are settling in and as you complete your first week of classes, we want to continue your rush of energy and invite you to our back-to-school event, which spans three days on August 29-31 in the OU Gaming Lounge inside Cross B. For our returning students, welcome back!
Our back-to-school event includes raffle giveaways, free play on our PCs, consoles, VR, and racing rig, tournaments with Amazon gift cards as prizes, and opportunities to make new friends and meet your peers!

How to Win!
We want to promote fellowship above all for our series of events, so our prizing structure will have that same intent.
You can have up to four(4)entries for Sunday to increase your chances of winning. Here are the prerequisites to win:
– Current OU Student in our Discord (discord.gg/ougaming)
– @OU Student role in Discord server (#applications)
– Physically Present Sunday
Ways to enter:
– (1 entry) Attend Friday programming (Does NOT require participation in tournaments)
– (1 entry) Attend Saturday programming (Does NOT require participation in tournaments)
– (1 entry) Attend Sunday programming (Entries end at 6 PM)
– (1 entry) VIP membership purchase ($120)
HOW PRIZING SELECTION WILL WORK:All students can only win one giveaway despite having four entries. The quantity of entries bolsters your chance to win overall. We will be tracking attendance using a digital randomizer for selection on Sunday. If a student wins anything, their name will be removed from the list completely. Students can pass if they have multiple entries, but it will consume one of their entries by doing so.
Prizes will be divided into four tiers, with the Grand Prize (PC) exclusive to undergrads.
- Tier 4: $50 or less in value
- Tier 3: $50-$100 in value
- Tier 2: $100-$300 in value
- Tier 1: $300+ in value
- Grand Prize: $1,200 Gaming PC (Undergrads only)
The fine print: Sunday prizing is exclusive to OU students in attendance ONLY. The Sunday grand prize isexclusively for undergrad students at the request of the donors. The winner of the grand prize will be required to fill out a W-9 for tax reporting, and we will discuss it in depth before awarding the prize, so there are no surprises. We will be taking pictures with winners throughout the weekend, so please anticipate that, especially for the bigger prizes.

The OU Gaming Club was founded in Fall 2017 with R&D starting in the year prior. As development and growth continued it would go through several elevation to eventually create the department of Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation housed within the Division of Student Affairs which now sponsors the club itself. This development has an emphasis on inclusivity and community over everything which then enables a path to industry approach to enable diversification in programming, intent, and results alike. It is one of the largest student communities at OU now pushing past 3.3K members and over 190 in development with scholarship, venue, internships, and curriculum.
