On Saturday, February 7th, OU Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation (OU ECCI) held the first annual Spring All Development meeting for its members in Adams Hall 150. Over 85 students attended.
The Spring All Dev meeting is a new push, thanks to the requests of several competition team leaders. Student energy, which is typically lower in the spring semester, will hopefully be bolstered by this new initiative.
The meeting, hosted by Mike Aguilar, was meant to give the members of OU ECCI insight and perspective into the different pillars of the organization: Media & News, Production, Marketing, Competitive and Community & Labs.
Spring All Dev also saw a few guest presentations by the Price JCPenney Leadership Program, the OU ECCI Advisory Board and the OU Career Center. These presentations gave ECCI members an opportunity to learn about resume building and opportunities within OU to facilitate professional development.

The JCPenney Leadership Program was represented by Price College of Business students Rowan Reynolds, Vicky Chen, and Kendall Rench. They showed how to make effective resumes, search for internships, create LinkedIn accounts and more.
The OU Advisory Board, represented by Anita Ly, Parker Vint, Nolan Richardson and Dr. Kelly Berry, provided useful information about networking. The Advisory Board members have a variety of occupations and backgrounds, but all are OU alumni with an interest in gaming. They aim to offer professional development and networking assistance to all OU ECCI students for career needs beyond college.
Following the Advisory Board presentation was the Career Center presentation led by Sheniqia Haynes, the senior assistant director of the Career Center’s student engagement team.
Haynes provided useful information and resources for ECCI students to use in their college careers. She broke down how to use Handshake, a networking tool available to all OU students.
“I really enjoyed speaking with OU ECCI this past Saturday,” Haynes said. “The students were attentive and engaged. They are very bright student leaders, and the more (the Career Center) can equip them to successfully market themselves to businesses, the better their chances will be to secure employment upon graduation. I look forward to the next time we get together!”
The second half of the All Dev meeting focused on the ECCI coordinators breaking down their respective pillars and how to utilize them.
Marketing coordinators Carter LaValley and Ankharet Silva discussed ways for them to get marketing project ideas for the Gaming Club and OU Esports. The Marketing team has undergone significant change in the past school year and aims to grow even bigger in Fall 2026.
The Production team, led by Coordinator Sam Graziano and Lead Josh Watson, reiterated the importance of livestreaming matches for the competitive teams to bring them on air more often.

The News & Media team has also been pushing to refine its workflow in the coming semester. In particular, the Media side, led by Kaori Thomas, outlined a workflow to help competitive teams understand how to make requests for prerecorded content like highlight reels.
Fall 2025 had massive energy that led to more livestreams and articles created than ever before. With the addition of the now-yearly Spring All Dev meeting, the hope is to keep momentum strong in the back half of the school year.
There are several events planned for OU ECCI later in the semester, including Giving Day on April 14th and the launch of the second issue of the OU ECCI magazine.
